| Yikes....what do I do????? We adopted Trixie on Saturday (13 weeks old, rescue). She had never been on grass or walked on a leash before, so she thinks grass is something to only play on!! She does go on the paper in the house (we have her confined in the kitchen area) most of the time, but I really want her to be trained to do her "business" outside. I've taken her on tons of walks, taken her out every hour to the same spot, taken her out 15 minutes after she eats and drinks, taken her out as soon as she wakes up, enticed with yummy treats - and NOTHING! As soon as we get back in the house she goes right on the paper!!! She must have amazing bladder control since sometimes she doesn't pee for 4-5 hours after she eats/drinks!! HELP!!! Any advice?? |

| After Trixie uses the paper, can you put the paper outside where you would like her to go. Maybe put some small stones in the paper so it doesn't blow away. Maybe she will associate the paper outside with using the paper outside. Good Luck!! |

| ^^ i agree.. the smell will let her know why you are bringing her outside. also, you could try having a command like: go potty, when she goes on the paper. soon she will know that "go potty" means do your business. then when you go outside, the smell and command will show her what you are expecting her to do.. Good luck

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Put some of her poop on the paper outside too. Roxy got the hang of peeing outside pretty fast after long cold winter w/pee pads, but couldn't get the hang of of pooping outside until she was old enough to go to daycare. The other dogs got the message through to her the first day. lol!

| We've been trying bringing the paper outside with a little pee on it, but no luck. I'm using the "go potty" command too, but it's not working so far. I feel so bad since she thinks she's doing the right thing by going potty on the paper inside!! I'll keep trying!! |
