| Scare of my life with Maggie May! *Long* OMG, you will never believe what happened to Maggie May on our evening walk. We were walking and waiting for her 2 yorkie friends when we met up with 2 of my other neighbors walking their 3 New Foundlands. Well, Maggie May and one of them are kinda chumy. She cowers up to her and they sniff and that's that. Well, tonight, the other neighbor who has the 2 was standing back a bit because they do not know each other. Well, the younger Newfie is about 3 years old and still a bit rambuncous...she got away from mom and then so did the other one. They surprised mom by doing this and by this time, mom is on the ground being pull across the pavement. Mom went right down and is bleeding by this point. I've already got Hot Rod in my arms, as I usually do on this part of the walk. Well, next thing I know, all 3 newfies are all over Maggie May and she is upside down under the 3 of them! I could see her and that no one was biting or snarling...they were just trying to sniff her. Forutnately all 3 have cats in the house and they are good buddies with them. They were all just trying to sniff her but Maggie was freaking because she was in the middle of them. Both my neighbors were trying to grab collars (mind you mom of the 2 newfies has a scraped up and had a bloody hand) and I was with one hand trying to pull on Maggie's leash with the arm that I was holding Hot Rod with. Maggie got free somehow and I yanked her outta there and scooped her up. I was afraid that if I grabbed the newfie that anyone of them would start attacking her. And then I was afraid that if I yanked too hard and had Maggie in the air, that the newfies would start to try and jump and bite at her to bite her. I tucked both Maggie May and Hot Rod into my jacket and just held them close to me. She was so frightened and just started digging into me. She finally calmed down and I just cradled the both of them. So please watch your babies no matter what, it only takes a moment. Needless to say Maggie May is getting some extra special attention tonight.

| OMG!! That had to be horrifying!!! I am so glad Maggie May wasn't hurt. It takes a split second for something like this to happen and I am so glad everyone is ok. I am sure you will be wide awake from the adrenaline rush tonight.

| I'm so glad that the big dogs were also big babies and that all is well with sweet little Maggie.

Thank you. I agree, normally she only walks the 2 of them with her hubby and then not all that often. She was just taken by surprise. I saw her face as the younger one pulled away. She tried desparately to get a hold and some how tripped over herself doing so. I think it was the 2nd dog that actually pulled her.

Yes, I've spent and spend time around these dogs (without my 2) and know that they are very good and sweet natured. The only problem is, is that they are very, very large!

| So glad Maggie May is alright. Other people with pets is scary. I was driving in my neighborhood, and the new people that moved down the street from me have a pit...Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike the breed, however, I do always fear the upbrining. Especially with the reputation. I don't know Newfies that well. Are they normally aggressive?

| You did the right thing and didn't panic. Yanking her by the leash probably would have excited the newfies and made Maggie look like a toy that was being taking away.
