| First long road trip This will be our first long road trip with Bella since she's been with us. I have her bag packed already. We're heading to the Smokie Mountains Thursday. So excited to share this with her. Ok...does anyone know of pet friendly places? I will be taking her front pack. Or is there a good website to go to for the info. Thanks. |

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | How wonderful! I love going to the Smokies! I am a newbie and can't offer much advice, but I still wanted to wish you guys a wonderful trip! I have been to the mountains many times, but never with a dog. I hope someone can help you. I would love to know this too. I'm sure we will be taking our Yorkie to the Smokies in the future as well.

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Oooh, and I forgot, but if you have the chance....try the 'Mellow Mushroom.' Their white pizza they have there is fabulous! We always add chicken to it and YUM! Also, there is a mexican restaurant called 'No Way Jose's' that we enjoyed. If you are wanting a fine dining experience one night, there is a phenomenal steakhouse in Gatlinburg called 'The Peddler.' It is divine!!!!!!!

| Enjoy the Smokies. We love going and always take our dogs. We always get a pet friendly cabin. There are always people with dogs on a leash or in a pet stroller on the strip in Gatlinburg and at the Tanger outlet in Pigeon Forge. I have never seen dogs in the stores but I may have just missed them. Have a great trip! |

| I also meant to say to check out Reviews of Hotels, Flights and Vacation Rentals - TripAdvisor, go to the Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge forum and ask about pet friendly places. I agree with the Peddler being a great place to eat. It is one of our favorites. |

| I hope you have a good trip! I have been there and we stayed at a motel in Pigeon forge that was pet friendly but I cant remember the name of it. Most of the motels in pigeon forge are kinda older though and I bet alot of them are pet friendly. We really love the mountains but we also love Dollywood. It is fun but fair warning the traffic there is crazy!

That is not an understatement. I grew up in Sevier County/Pigeon Forge and still have family living there. Traffic is a nightmare but the mountains and all the attractions are worth the aggravating traffic. When is your trip? It should be a little calmer right now, but will get crazy again when the fall leaves peak in color towards mid October. I also recommend to visit The Inn at Christmas Place http://www.innatchristmasplace.com/ . The bank had our office Christmas party there this past Christmas and it is so amazing. They let you go in and look around even if you aren't lodging there. It is a sight to see.

| This will be my 4th trip down in the last five years. We're taking our motorcycles, rented a cabin that looks out at Mt. LaConte. It will be an 8 hour drive for us. We have outlet malls here and I have taken Bella in with me in her front pouch carrier. I will look up the websites that were mentioned. Thanks everyone. |

| Mid-Town Lodge is right in the middle of Gatlinburg and they allow pets however I haven't stayed there, with or without the girls. If you do please let me know how it is, we are considering staying there the next time we go. We like to just walk out and be in the middle of things. It's and older place and I think the pet room is a suite. The picture looked nice. I have seen many dogs in G'burg over the years so there must be lots of pet friendly places. Have a great trip.

| Good news girls, we did it. Rode to the outlet mall Bella in tote and there was no problem in any of the stores. She was a Diva. One couple followed us to a parking lot just to take her picture, and a couple others wanted her picture too. To funny. |
