| Hi!!! And welcome to YT!!! 6 months is about perfect for the colors to start changing!! I have a 7 month old and he was a "blue born" and is already SNOW WHITE!! He actually started changing about 8 weeks, but he is and exception to the rule!!! My baby, Bevo, started changing about that time...he is almost 3 (oct1st)....so Glad you have a baby to love an adore!!!! And again...WELCOME!!!!

| Its totally amazing! I had no idea that they changed color - I guess I was very un educated regarding the breed! But since coming over to this website I've learnt alot and realize that I still have much to learn! Are you able to explain to me what a "sooty" color is? Another question I had was that Newt seems to have two baby teeth still - is this causing her any pain, or as Ive read on here the vet can remove them when she is spayed. If shes in pain right now I will take her to my vet immediately! |

| Welcome to YT. She will probably change colors several times in her life time. Best advice I can offer is the same advice my Granny gave me when I had my first child. LEARN all you can from experts, but listen to your heart and use common sense. TRAIN them from day one, with the picture of the adult you want them to become, firmly in your mind. PROVIDE safety, security and routine. BE PATIENT. Promptly FORGIVE mistakes. LOVE is not a word, it is action. Love is what you do and the time you give. So love with all your heart.

| Alot of toy breeds retain baby teeth. If all of the adult teeth are in when you take her for a spay then the baby teeth can be pulled if they have not come out on their own. Mina's adult teeth were not completely in when she was spay and my vet didn't want to keep her under for as long as it would take to pull 4 baby teeth and spay. So she will have to go back in several months for the baby teeth to be extracted. |

| Hi and welcome to the YT forums. Your Newt(cute name) is adorable. Is that her fur sibling in the pic with her? How old is she/he? My Ahi is only 4 months old and her silver is coming out on her head too.
