| Well mine is pretty hyper. she is 11 weeks old. my chihuahua was actually a little more hyper when he was a puppy. When my husband brought home Bella, Eli (my chi) was extremely excited. His activity level never goes down with her in the house. I guess all puppies are hyper for a bit(well at least mine were)

| No, males are not more hyper than females. My males are quite calm compared to my neighbor's female. There is a difference between active and hyper. Generally, yorkie energy levels are high and they need lots of activity daily. Whether or not a puppy would stress out an older dog depends on the individual dogs. I would recommend testing the older dog around a puppy before adding a puppy to the home.

| I am not sure, I have 2 females and 2 males, the boys are pretty laid back and Tessie is a little hyper , but Sassy is crazy hyper, she is 6 lbs of dynamite and loves to jump. She can jump over a 4 1/2 foot gate. She is 1 year old.

| I have two boys and a baby girl....One of my boys is hyper, the other isnt...and so far the baby girl is VERY laid back...I think it just depends on the pup!!! Just like you cant judge people by gender as to whose going to be more hyper, outgoing, shy, etc!!!

| Ziva came from a litter of 4. Two were hyper, one playful and the fourth almost sluggish! Maybe if you have a few pups to choose from you can judge their personalities a bit... |

| I always assumed that most puppies were hyper. Kirby was really hyper when she was a puppy. She can still be frisky. I will check out some puppies before making my selection. |

| I think it all depends on the puppy really. Callie was pretty chill as puppy although she had her moments but I think any puppy of any breed you have to be prepared for some hyperness.

| Abby is super hyper compared to Max. They came from the same breeder, have the same dad, and are about 2 weeks apart in age. Max plays and then calms down and just wants to sit and have a snuggle. Abby will play as long as I am willing to throw her squirrel. And then whimpers until I play some more or sits with her toys and fusses. She is non-stop until it is bed time and then she konks out. She loves to pounce on Max when he is napping. |

| chloe is super hyper. It's hard at times for my jack russell who has grown out of his hyper years now...it does upset him at times that Chloe is so hyper wanting to play with him all the time. |

| Chloe is super hyper and always has been, she is now three. I don't see her slowing down any way soon, sigh! Recently, I had to start confining her to a couple of rooms at bedtime because she was getting up in the night once or twice, waking up the whole house wanting to play.
