YorkieTalk Newbie! | Yorkie Likes Grass Just wondering if my yorkie is ok? She wants to eat grass when ever we go outside. Is this pretty normal. She chews it up. |

| Some will say it's normal, some say it's fine, or some will say it's not normal. All I know is that every dog that I currently walk (being a dogwalker) and my own dog AND my dads two dogs enjoy munching on grass and don't get sick. Now, Jax will go and eat it when he has an upset stomach but he also chows down when he doesn't... soooo... I can tell a difference between his "I'm eating this to throw up" and his "Yumm... nomnomnom, this is yummy" LOL.

| I don't know if it is normay or not. Mrs. Beasley eats grass like the cows on our farm. She eats it all the time. She does not get sick. So I guess it is okay for her. I have thought about posting the same question also, just never got around to it.

| My Izzy likes grass too. I joke with DH that we don't need a weed whacker

| Tatum only nibbles on grass when her tummy doesn't feel right (I think, anyway). Right after she usually throws up a little. Doesn't happen very often.

| When Tek grazes like a cow I know he has an upset tummy, but he has Inflammatory Bowel Disease....I have always heard that dogs eat grass to help with a tummy problem but from some of the postings it seems that some dogs just simply eat grass?? |

| Yorkies Likes Grass Yes all animals like grass and need the vitamins it provides. However, the grass in the yard can cause the Yorkie to vomit is because the grass is seraded and they can't digest it. I keep pots of rye and wheat grass in pots and cut/break it off and give to them. this prevents the problem of vomiting becaues the grass isn't going to cause a problem. There is a site that a lady has that will give you all the information regarding plants for pets. PLANTS FOR PETS |
