| How many times? Hey everyone I was just wondering how long was it before u got ur fur baby? Or how many times did you have ur hopes up and not able to get the fur baby? I'm asking because I seen this yorkie for $400 they lived about 130 miles from me now I don't mind paying the $400 just to say because I know she is current on all shots spayed and trained I talked to the lady and she told me I could go for the baby today before I went I called and she told me she was sold this morning now I've waited all weekend and once again this happens. I'm actually starting to give up and maybe just stick to looking and reading all ur posts and pictures. |

| I looked for more than a couple of years, and my patience paid off. It probably won't take that long for most people. I didn't have any situations where my hopes were raised and then dashed. Be patient. It's worth it.

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Well I have been looking for almost 6 years. Although while I was looking, I was still convincing my husband about how much I wanted/needed a dog. Well, about 3 months ago he finally agreed officially. I think he saw how hard the whole infertility thing (long story) was hitting me and he realized how happy a Yorkie would make me. I've wanted a Yorkie since I was a little girl and I am so excited!!! So for the past few months I have been looking for a reputable breeder and I think we finally found ours. We hope to be getting our baby in November/December. So it has been a really long wait for me, but I just know it's all going to be worth it the first time I hold her in my arms! Plus, all this time has given me plenty of opportunity to learn all I can. I know nothing can fully prepare me for Yorkie motherhood, but I am glad I am learning a lot beforehand. Good luck in your search! I just know you'll find the perfect Yorkie for you!

We have a 2.5 yr old son that has a seizure disorder as well as being autistic. Love him to death, great with the puppy. But when we found out about the issues he was having, we vowed to not have another child. And for a while I was ok with it.....then it hit me. I wanted another child. So I worked and worked to convince my hubby that a puppy would fill that want of a second child. So far it has! I knew a yorkie was the breed I wanted. I have always loved them! And now she is doing wonderful! She is being spoiled and treated as if she was my child.

| Don't give up. You need to find a respectable breeder. You wont have any problems if you take the right steps. It took me a long time to find Pnut, at first I wanted a girl. It is kind of a strange story how I received my Pnut. I worked at a vet and a lady that owned a pet store would always come in and bring her puppies to get vaccinated. I made friends with her, I told her how I was looking for a Yorkie. I wanted a girl, she told me she knew of a wonderful breeder and would see what she could find for me. Well she would bring in a different Yorkie (female) a couple times a week, I never liked any of them. I was really picky in what I wanted, I didn't want to settle for something I didn't have that "feeling" for. One day she called me and said I have your Yorkie. She came in showed me this little tiny baby and I feel in love! I wanted her!! I was sold. Then she told me it was a boy!! At this point I didn't care b/c I feel in love with this dog! 4 years later I am still in love with my baby boy!! I think the first thing you should do is find a respectable breeder, one who isn't going to pull your legs! Don't give up and don't settle for something you don't feel in your heart is right! Keep looking, know what you want and one will come to you!

| I just know that there is a perfect little Yorkie for you. I too wanted one when I was a child. I didn't get my first Yorkie until I was an adult. I grew up on a farm and thought I knew a lot about animals, especially dogs. I laugh now when I look back. Yorkies are dogs but OMGosh they are so child like too. No other dog I ever had, prepared me for YAPS (Yorkies are my passion syndrome) . I am retired now and spend my time loving, grooming, spoiling, and training Yorkies. Keep praying for the right one and it will happen.

| Please, never give up. I'm a very strong, true believer in 'if it's meant to happen, it will'. Our beautiful 14 year old lemon labrador passed away almost 3 years ago. I of course said 'never again'. The pain and grief were unbelievable. But then time passes, and feelings move on. Never to forget, but to remember in love + happiness + wonderful memories. So, we decided upon a little Yorkie girl - a long story, but our hopes were dashed, and I can only think, in retrospect, that she wasn't the little girl for us. All I can say to you now is thank goodness we waited that Harry happened into our lives - he's the complete opposite of everything we thought we were looking for - and sometimes, that's the very best way. | I had been waiting for the right Yorkie to come along for about 5 years. And now I have Ahi and the timing couldn't be more perfect. My youngest child just started Kindergarten and now I have all the time in the world for my little girl. Like everyone said it will happen when it's meant to happen. Worth the wait. Good luck on your search.
