Donating YT 2000 Club Member | This is so sad I could not believe what I heard on a local radio station tonight. A women left her Yorkie in the car when she went into a restaurant for dinner. The poor little baby died from chocking on his leash. I cannot understand how anyone would leave a pup in the car. I found an article on line about it. By Jill Rosen The Baltimore Sun 9:05 a.m. EDT, September 1, 2011 A New Jersey woman has been charged with animal cruelty after she left her dog in the car while she and her family went into a restaurant and ate Chinese food. The dog hanged itself in the car with its leash while the family ate. According to the Asbury Park Press, the Yorkie named Scoobey, was left tied to the headrest of the minivan with its leash. As Scoobey ran around the van while the family ate dinner, the leash became a tight noose and by the time the family finished eating and got back outside, the dog had died. According to the paper the woman, Isabella Rojas-Soriano, 30, is charged with two counts of animal cruelty for leaving an animal unattended inside a vehicle and for carrying an animal in an inhumane way. | That just breaks my heart Laurie. So wrong on so many levels. People, if you can't take your furbaby WITH you everywhere you go, then leave them at HOME!!!!

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | I agree! The local station was saying how the women was distraught over it and called the police for help when she found the pup. I just don't understand how anyone can leave the pup in the car any day, any time. How does someone not know that?

| Why on God's green earth would anyone take their dog with them if they are going out to eat? Why would she have him tied to the seat? I just do not understand the stupidity of people today. They say she is distraught, well how did that poor baby feel while taking his last breath. I am in tears here

| OMG! #1 left the pup in the car #2 had it on a collar #3 TIED it to the headrest?? As if it being confined inside the car was not enough? #4 Why would you bring the dog out if you're going to eat at a restaurant? It should be 4 counts IMO.

| Really really sad. My family and I went out to dinner with Ahi. We left her in the car......AND we all took turns sitting in the car with her! We do what we have to do. My Ahi IS one of my babies. If they wanted Chinese..they should have ordered it to go!

| Poor baby, isn't their fault they have stupid owners. Here in Georgia we have a lady that left her 3 children 1,5,and6 in the car in the parking lot while she worked at Kroger, People can be so clueless and wonder why the world is like it is today.

| Unbelievable! I can only imagine that poor little thing hanging and unable to help himself breathe. And the woman was hysterical? So was that Susan Smith after she drowned her children in her car and then came up w a carjacking story. And the Academy Award goes to...... Catching my husband's cold, can you tell?
