| Is this normal? Toby has been with us for a little more than 3 weeks. He is 15 weeks! He has only gained 2 oz in those 2 weeks but eats like CRAZY! He is super duper active - far more active than Chloe ever was! He is also super short. It almost looks like his belly drags on the floor - but it doesn't. I talked to my vet who says as long as he is eating, not to worry. His daddy was a wee one weighing in at a little over 2lbs and his mom was pretty small too, weighing in at 4lbs. Does this seem normal to you? He is eating, pooing and peeing very regularly and is healthy in every way - just not a fast grower! |

| You said you talked to the vet - at his office? Has he seen the dog? If not, I would take him in for a good check-up and tests for worms, etc.. Is his belly really large - is that why you said it looks like it drags the floor - or just because his legs are short? Can you take a webcam picture or video of him and post it?

| Yes... he has seen Toby. The day after we got him home and a couple days later for shots. He was wormed and vaccinated. His belly isn't big - his legs are just soooo short. Chloe has the longer legs - he is super short! |

| Oh, then, maybe he's just so active he's running off his calories. I don't know how much they should be gaining at that age but if your vet is not worried and you trust him, he should be okay. If you are still worried and no one here has some ideas in the next day, maybe you could get a second opinion. He sounds darling! I love the tiny, frisky Yorkie babies!!! Keep us updated if you can.
