| How safe are you? Ok so Poppy had already been on her walk today but was very hyper so i thought before Xfactor starts we will go down the river for a quick run about! So off we went in the car and its the first time in a long while i have walked Poppy alone. It was only 7:15pm but i felt quite nervous being alone down by the river, after about 20mins i decided to take poppy down the road to the field where we live thinking it was safer, but i still felt really nervous being alone. Then OH called me and told me to come home and when i got home he told me a old lady was murdered in my town the night before and the murderer had not been caught, he didnt want me out alone. I live in the middle of the country side and its a nice place to live but i am such a nervous person anyway. How safe are you walking ur furbaby where you live?

| I feel pretty safe in my neighborhood and community as it is a very busy, active neighborhood and people are always out and about. I don't really like to go places where it is just Tibbe and me, though. You never know who or what is out and about so I stay where it is busy with people.

| Im so glad nothing happened to you. I cant walk Callie in our neighborhood its not safe in my opinion some do it but not me. We have had many instances of lose pit bulls as well as one two houses down that really sounds scary when he sees Callie and I really think could pull off the chain hes attached to a tree with.

| i am a worry wort too and its very scarey to be out alone. I live in a small market town and after 6pm the place is dead so unless u walk during the day (which i cant) i would have to walk poppy alone. The reason i am asking is because my bf is got other things coming up of an evening so wont be able to come with me on walks so i know i will be walking poppy alone soon and its kinda scary. No one can come with me so i am thinking of places to walk her in my area. Kinda nervous that there is a murderer on the loose too!! Also a few random lonley men walked past me tonight walking without any dogs... now i am not saying this is wrong they may just be out for a walk, but passing them made me soooo nervous and scared! I also worry about dog napping... do any of u worry about this too when out on walks alone? People seem to stop me ALL the time and ask me where i gt her and for how much and i get so nervous about dog napping! How safe are we even walking our furbabies alone these days

| WHen it starts getting dark my town seems to come alive. It is becasue it is too hot during the day. People stay inside. So you see so many people later on. I live in a tiny town , and the people are ok, It is the stray dogs that I fear. When I have one of my dogs outside i am fearful that a dog will come charging. We have all kind sof dogs here , ranging from a CHi all the way up to dangerous Pit Bulls .They really freak my out .

| I live a few streets away from a beautiful fresh water pond. (80 Acres). So I always walk around the pond either with one of the dogs or by myself. I do carry pepper spray with me at all times and my cell phone. I do this not so much for my safety as I feel very safe around my neighborhood, but nervous of loose dogs near my pups. We have a leash law but there are always the few that don't obey rules.

| I am extremely alert of my surroundings and never walk my dog alone at night. You just never know.

| We have a park that we take Callie to that has a round paved circle thats 1/2 mile and its a nice little park but I do not go alone to it. Also our back yard is very big so she gets a lot of exercise out there she is big into running and chasing everything she also loves running up and down the fence with the dog next door.

| I walk the 4 dogs all the time in my neighborhood, during the day. I do not walk at night. I just do not feel safe even though I am in a good neighborhood you just never know what can happen. If someone is willing to walk with me at night then I will walk them but never alone. It is bad enough when I walk them during the day I worry about a bigger dog being lose and attacking them. I guess I am a worry wart too.

| When Kaji and I took walks, we typically stayed inside the condo complex at night. It was gated and we had protection from the wild animals that might think Kaji was dinner. I was lucky enough to have a roomie that liked to take our walks together.

| Sometimes I get paranoid too. I live in a relatively safe area but you never know these days. I'm actually very concerned about stray dogs, as well as some people with large dogs - they seem like they barely have a grip on their dogs and I'm afraid one will attack my dog. I bought pepper spray for this reason and carry it with me on all my walks! |

| Just took Poppy down the river today with OH and it was so busy, dogs running around everywhere. Lots of people stopping us and asking where we got Poppy from and how old is she.... always shocked when i say over a year old! I was also scared of the HUGE big dogs that where running around but we stayed away from them. Poppy loves her walks and i love to watch her enjoy herself xxx
