| New in Puerto Rico from Alaska Hello, I'm new to the forum! Originally from Alaska and in Puerto Rico for two years. We drove down from Alaska to Orlando, Florida. The full story and lots of pics can be seen here - Alaska to Puerto Rico Anyway, we've been debating on a dog for a long time now. My dream dog is a Golden Retriever but for now we've decided a smaller dog will better suit our lifestyle. Someday our pup will have a big sister to play with, but for now it's just me and this little angel all day long (I'm a stay at home fiancee) =) He is 7.5 weeks today and it's his first full day home =) We picked him up last night from a local breeder on the island. SO! I need help with name ideas! My fiancee and I are currently considering Karma, Jynx, and Bacon (long story behind that one). I'm a fan of silly and unique names and I would love some suggestions. Cheers! |

| Hi and welcome to YT! I love the name Bacon too! He is such a cutie. I also brought my Ahi home at 7 1/2 weeks old. I was actually mad after I found out about how they should be with the mommy until at least 12 weeks. But she is the best Yorkie I could ever ask for. They kept telling me that she was 8 weeks old (which is still too young to be separated) until I did the math at home. But congrats on you little furbaby!

| Something about the look in her eyes in the first picture tells me her name should be "Picabo" (pronounced peek-a-boo). She has such a cute little face. |

| OOOoooooh I had no idea. Figured the breeder didn't tell me! We initially wanted a Golden Retriever, and did months of research into that. I did a couple of weeks research into a Yorkie once we decided on a smaller breed, but I didn't know they were supposed to stay that long!! =( Is there anything I can do to make this too early transition easier on him? I hope I haven't messed things up! |
