| Cat Attack Hi everyone, new to this so hope i done this correct, I have a 7month yorkie who is very small, but very healthy, (was ) we have a very large garden and max was in the garden as a neighbours cat was sat hidden in the garden, not sure what happened but the next thing was Max was yelping and saw the cat running away, we gathered the cat had attacked max and on examining him we found couple puncture marks, took him to the vets, who gave him antibiotic/ painrelief injection on 2 contineous days, then a 5 day course of oral antibiotics, he has only 2 days supply left, but now even thou max is eating/running around i have noticed the wound has now become a lump and he wont let you near it, he back to the vets on finishing his medication, worried that this might be an absess. Also am scared of letting him out in his own garden. |

| Report that dangerous animal to your Animal Control and let them see to it that the owner keeps the cat on its own premises. That is outrageous that your little dog is suffering because some irresponsible owner won't keep their own pets safe at home.

| I have never let any of mine out in their yard unless I am there. They are just too little to fend for themselves. Definitely needs to go back to the vet asap.

| Oh, I'm sorry this happened to Max. I would give my neighbor a tongue lashing. Ticked off neighbor is one thing, but my dog being hurt ....oh no, katie bar the door! Seriously, I would report it too. I so hope Max feels better soon. Definitely go back to the vet and get that looked at. Sending prays for your little one. OH...WELCOME!

| I am so sorry about Max. i am not a cat fan because lots of people dont care where they go when they let them out of the house so they end up getting into everybody's yard and into trouble. I would let your animal control know and I would speak to the neighbors about there cat and they need to pay your vet bills in my opinion. I would definitely make sure the vet checks him over again if there is a lump also you probably need to make sure you go outside with him to make sure that the cat doesn't come back.

| Concur on the vets, but strongly agree as well about NOT letting your Yorkie out alone unattended. There have been so many posts here about Yorkies getting injured or worse (including stolen or killed) by letting them out unattended. Even with a good fence, you have to be aware that birds of prey could also attack your pet. |
