| Can 2 male Yorkies get along? A friend of a friend of mine is moving and she needs to rehome her male Yorkie,he is 9 months old,Max is almost 19 months old.I'm not sure if she still has him or if she already rehomed him, but,I was thinking about inquiring about him. What do you think?Would Max be better of alone,or should I get him a friend?Max is very well trained now,so,I kinda have to weigh the possibility of Max regressing if the other Yorkie isn't as well trained.I'm confused, what should I do?

| My Max and Teddy get along beautifully and they are both very strong males. Things might be a little more perfect if one were more submissive. You have to be the judge on whether or not your Max would like a sibling, and you have to consider if you want a second dog. Two are twice as much fun, but it is also twice as much work.

| Are both boys neutered? Have they met before? Usually 2 males will get along very well and be very happy together (better 2 boys than 2 girls) but I would make sure they were both neutered just to prevent any problems. My boys never have any problems with each other - they get along great. Good luck Teresa |

| You might want to arrange a playdate first, just to see how they react to each other. My two boys get along fine for the most part, but they do have their little barking squabbles now and then... |

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I fostered a 7 year old male here with Rhett and Scarlett for several weeks. The boys got along just fine. Two is twice the fun, twice the expense and, in some cases, more than twice the work (what one trouble the first doesn't think of, the second one will!)

| My boys were inseperable. In fact when we lost the one, we thought the other was going to die of a broken heart. I have never before seen 2 dogs as close as they were

| I don't have males but I do have two females. If my two can get along then any one can get along. Lol. It was a rough first week but they do get along now. We still have moments but I think all in all they love each other. I would think that two males could get along just fine.

| I have 6 males in my house right now. They all get along very well. Don't get me wrong, they do have their little tiffs, but basically, they are all best buds!! 4 of the males are to be rehomed (puppies), so I don't know how the remaining ones will react!! One of them is the Dad and the other one is the Uncle. It does help when they are all born in the same house!!

| I have 2 males (neutered) and 2 females (spayed) and most of the time they all get along great. Good Luck. Always a lot of excitement and loving around here.
