| Oh My! The first year I had Simon I easily spent 5000 on surgery, medicine, etc. Simon is on prescription food that is $20/bag that I get every 2 months plus his visits to specialists. I average about 1000 a year without any surgeries ;( We are going to Cornell soon and that visit is $500 so thanks goodness for pet insurance! |

| I havent added it all up,just in tests and surgery I've charged about $2,000 on a health credit card that I'm going to be paying for some time! And that was just in 1 month! I don't even know what I've spent on his clothes in a year + . Now I had to really slow down on buying him clothes so I can try to catch up with his new vet bills Genie |

| Maybe we should consider getting Pet Insurance right after picking up our babies from the breeders!!!! LOL. Prince's health bills aren't outrageous yet. However, his designer clothes are. LOL. Only the best for my baby.

| With Mac being so sick when he was a baby I spent over $6,000.00. Normal vet vistits range about $125.00 each they go twice a year excluding shots. I really should look into vet insurance.

| WOW..to some of the above, I guess Bailey is pretty cheap compared to those,,, the first year was the most...first shots, neutered, microchipped, frontline, and heargard, but that was about maybe $400.oo and I just took him for his 1 year visit, and it was only 75.00. NOt to mention the good food, all the treats, and the clothes, leashes, collars, crate, bedding, toys, bowls I dont even wanna add that all up.. Oh and the grooming every couple months...

| Hmmm let's see: Initial Visit $ 107.08 Ear infection visit 73.10 Eye itchy visit 68.25 One yr Revolution 101.98 Total since Feb. $350.41 Not too bad, but I should've had her spayed that would have added to it, I just haven't had the nerve yet! To put it into perspective tho, I had a vet out to see my horse who had a bellyache(colic) and it was $215.00 for one visit! |

| Since we got Aria in July 2005 we have already spent close to $2,000 on vet bills....they were even trying to get us to do more tests on her to see if she might have a liver problem while she has NO symptoms.....sometimes I have to wonder if they are looking out for the pet or if they need a new couch or vacation =|

| Way too much I have only spent about $200 on Scotch's medical expenses, except for the surgery and emergency room visit he just had which was about $1800. After the first year, you only go to the vet once, and that's about $80 for me. Pet insurance is a good idea, especially if thereis an accident. It's just like car insurance, you hope you don't have to use it, but if you do, it comes in real handy!! |
