| I get Pnut's nails, anal's and ear hair trimmed out about once a month. He WILL NOT let me do his nails myself... I have tried and tried.

| I take both the boys in about every other week for nail trims. Thank goodness their groomer will clip them for free, and that is why she is the only one I take them to see. She does this as a service for us in between groomings. |

| My husband decided , to save money, I needed to start grooming our 4 Yorkies, the hair part wasn't too bad, but cutting the nails was horrible. Tessie went crazy. But she calmed down a little when her Daddy held her and gave her lots of love and treats to let mommy cut her nails. I noticed yesterday she was biting her nails also, but she is obssesssed with cleaning her feet anyway. We usually do it 1 time a month.

No Longer a Member | I wish yorkie nails were clear, I can trim my cats nails in 5 minutes with no issue. With Rizzo...it's bad. I trim just a teeny bit off, but I always end up hitting a quick. I've stopped trimming Rizzo's nails because I don't want to ruin him for the vet who now trims them for $5 and I get it done once a month. In between trims I just play fetch with him in my yard, which is hard surface and actually keeps his nails pretty trim. The only nails that need a lot of upkeep are his dews. |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | my yorkies nails grow fast too! especially Lewie's, his grows faster than Manolos. I guess it's in their genes. they go to the groomer once a month, they absolutely hate getting their nails clipped by me and my husband, it takes us like 5 min per nail (just a tiny snip) each time, sometimes longer because she whimpers and tries to pull her paws back, even if we try to stay calm. lol it's really funny because she doesn't even care when she gets her shots or blood drawn, but just clipping her nails gives her so much fright. she literally acts like she's dying or something

| Lil' Miss Izzie does alright with her nail clipping, which I do myself....I just always try to do it right after her bath, which is every two weeks....that way her nails are a bit softer...plus she also has one white nail which helps me to gauge on how much I need to cut the other nails down...I also have a pedicure that I use to round them so that they aren't soooooo sharp...

| I do Zhoie's like once a month. She is good about it though. I wait until she is lazy/sleeping on the couch and she lays there and I trim away. I then use a dremel to round and sand them so there not as sharp. We do the same process for trimming the insides of her legs and her ladybug too. She lays there on her back all spread eagle..
