| I don't know if the seeds and skin would be too hard to digest. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Sure, tomatoes are good for humans and dogs, just be sure that you don't give a dog green tomatoes or any green part from the tomato plant such as stems. There's an alkaloid in it that’s highly poisonous to dogs.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | They probably don't digest the seeds and skin, neither do we, but that type of fiber is good for intestinal health.

| Can someone give me a list of foods that are good for your yorkie? Maybe we can start a thread just for it? I just want to start giving him some people food that is good for him every once in a while, other than just his doggy treats! Thanks(: |

| I could not keep Baxter out of my heirloom pear tomatoes this year. He loved them! He would leave them until they were ripe, but if I did not beat him to them they were his. He would even pass up cantalope for pear tomatoes. |

| I was just cutting up a cantaloupe yesterday and wondering if they were ok to give the pups a tiny bit for a treat. Are cantaloupes OK for doggies? |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | It's not on the dangerous list, so I'd assume it is okay. The biggest thing to remember is that you should always give your dog a very small piece of something the first time. In the wild, animals try new foods very cautiously, and that is because if there is a reaction, it will be mild and not deadly. Of course, never force a dog to eat a new food, allow them to decide.

| They are ok, but fairly acidic. I don't give them or citrus.
