| Yorkie killed by coyotes Just horrifying.. cant even imagine if that happened to lulu. We Recently stopped going to the local regional park, because last week baby mountain lions were spotted in the area where we walk. Just a reminder to always watch your surroundings, all it takes is a second. Dog killed, owner injured in coyote attack in O.C. - latimes.com |

| Omg that is so sad. And scary. Another reason I love my Great Pyrenees. Nothing gets in this yard without him pouncing them. I feel so bad for this lady and yorkie.

| I heard this on the radio. One coyote actually jumped up on a woman and pushed her down then grabbed her dog. It's unfortunate, yet people are destroying the coyotes habitat to build more houses and they have no where to go. Laguna Woods is a very ritzy part of Orange County.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Coyotes are opportunistic hunters who will go after food any time it's available. I once had to sit in my car at my grandmother's apartment complex because two coyotes were walking through the parking lot in the middle of the day.

| This is tragic. I had a Coyote outside my garage at 5am in the morning about 3 months ago. there was a YT member about 2 years ago that her Yorkie was killed by a Coyote when she had him outside.

| I walk Teddy in a neighborhood close by and one of the ladies who lives there warned me against walking my dog too early or too late at night because they've seen a lot of coyotes in the area I feel horrible for this woman...I can't even begin to imagine...

| They didn't say. I heard it on the AM station KNX. But both occasions they said in the Laguna Woods area.

Of course, I don't live near coyotes. I've seen raccoons and armadillos, but I think my neighborhood is too rowdy for coyotes, although we do have a creek and trees, so maybe they just stay well hidden. Also, coyotes are scavengers. They'll eat anything smaller than them, and will even attempt attacks on larger animals. They are nasty, vile creatures and we shoot them at our lease to keep them from attacking the fawns.
