| Newbie to Yorkietalk...I've got questions Hello Yorkie Lovers! I'm new to the site as a member, but have used it as a resource since I purchased Cooper. It has been a great source of information for my husband and I so I want to thank you all for that. Cooper just turned 1 in April, and he has been sleeping in our bed since Oct. The reason why we moved him from his crate to our bed in Oct was b/c he had some diarrhea issues. He got so used to sleeping with us and so did we so we allowed him to stay with us at night ever since. About 3 months ago I developed a cough and the doctors think I may be allergic to my little baby Coops:-( Is it possible to move Cooper to another room to sleep or is that asking too much of the Yorkie breed? Help! Meghan |

| First of all, welcome to you and your husband and Cooper. So glad you are here. Just a thought, but have you tried putting his crate in the same room with you but not letting him sleep in the bed with you. He might be a little too close to you sleeping in the bed. That way he could be close to you but possibly help with the allergies that he might be causing. This is just some thoughts on the matter. I'm sure there are lots of people on here who will be able to help you find an answer. Best wishes.

| Welcome to YT, sorry you are having these problems. I wouls laso try letting him sleep in your room but not your bed. I would love to have mine sleep with me but they are gated off in another part of the house. Let us know what you decide, maybe he can soon sleep with you again.

| Are they sure Cooper is causing the cough? When I was having allergies and bad headaches, my doctor asked if I let my dog (Biscuit) on the bed. I said I did. Without any further testing or questions, he sent me away with "Don't let him get on the bed!" I wasn't satisfied with this... well, it turns out I'm actually allergic to mold, not Biscuit I'm just sharing this because it's something to think about if your cough persists. I hope Cooper sleeps well tonight and your cough goes away
