| Facial Hair Can anyone advise me on whats the best thing to do about the growing hair around the nose and eyes. My yorkie is 12 weeks old and i can just about manage to make a small ponytail on the the top of his head . he problem that i have is the hair around his nose area near the eyes it seems to be always sticking into his eyes. At the moment is too short to gather ontop of his head and i keeping sticking it down the side of his nose with my finger, but it keeps popping back up into his eyes. The other part just level with the eyes and above is the same. For a few minutes it stays up then back into his eyes. Is there anything you suggest apart from cutting it (which i dont want to do) to keep it from going into his eyes. He looks like he cant see, as i cant see his eyes. I dont think it bothers him as much as its bothers me ..., but if there is anything i can do, i would appriciate the feedback thanks..

| At 12 weeks, you have a long way to go in the battle of keeping the hair out of the eyes. On second thought, that battle never ends, lol. When Max was a pup, I dabbed a tiny, tiny bit of Vaseline on those pesky hairs that stood out in front of his eyes. Other people have used PetSilk topknot gel. Be careful and make sure that whatever you use is a fresh jar and dedicated only to your pup. Anything near the eyes has the potential to infect or harm the eyes, so you may be better off just combing and dabbing with a wet finger to encourage the hair to stay away from the eyes. Be careful with making topknots too. Don't pull the hair too tight or you could end up pulling the skin and causing a sore that permanently damages hair follicles. That has happened to a few people here.

| Use some fat cream, like vaseline, A+D , or just the conditioner you use on your dog if its thick enough, to hold the hairs down that are bugging you. It worked for me ! I used Vellus Satin Cream to hold those hairs down.

| When the hairs are long enough they will stop going into the eyes ! DON'T cut, its sooo ugly when people cut the hairs that are bugging them, just be patient and wait until this grows out, and use vaseline or vellus satin cream to hold the hairs down.

| I have the exact same issue with Ozzy. He's 4 months now and having his first groom tomorrow. I've found that what helps is to wash his face every morning with a warm cloth. It helps to get the little bit of eye gunk out of that hair, which seems to be what makes the hair go into his eyes.
