Owned by Bella & Tibbs Donating Member | How big will he really get??? I bought my baby Tibbs at a pet shop in May. It was least to say a shady shop they offered to dock his tail right there....I was like that's ok... I took him to the vet the very next day got his shots and wormed because he tested positive . He was suppose to be born on the 7th of April making him 6 weeks old when I bought him. He weighed in at the vet at 1lb 4oz. I take him to the vet on a regular bases and he recently broke his leg trying to be super man and at 15 weeks he weighed in a 5lbs and 2 oz..... so I was wondering how big do you think he will be!

| Do I understand you that the shop owner said they would dock his tail when you bought him if you wanted....if so, please report to animal control,,that is inhumane. |

Some of the most beautiful Yorkies I’ve seen are the biggest, and even at 10 pounds that’s a pretty small dog. I doubt if he will weigh over 10, and we have a "teapot" club you might be interested in joining. Hope his leg recovers soon.

Owned by Bella & Tibbs Donating Member | I did report the pet shop but where we live in a small community that is full of family business that are owned by people who are the family of our law enforcement not much has been done.

| Seeling such a young puppy is bad enough and then to know they would tail dock at that age is disgusting and inhumane. I am glad you told them no. It looks like your puppy is now at a really healthy weight . He may get to be anywhere around 7-10 pounds. It is hard to tell.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I would think your could report them to the Humane Society of the United States, if your local Humane Society won't do anything. It's not that you want them to get into trouble, they have to learn that this is very painful for the dogs, like someone cutting off their finger or toe.

| Hard to say! That place sounds terrible. Jackson was 5lbs at 8 weeks old, 6lbs at 12 weeks old, 8.6lbs at 16/17 weeks old, 12lbs by 6 months and is now 16lbs at almost 3 years old.
