| Dogs For Sale on the Side Of The Road - But Not Today! Typical Sunday afternoon in south Louisiana. It was about 95 degrees, but with the humidity it felt like 1000. I was on my way to Walmart to pick up some packing tape when I noticed an all too familiar scene - dogs for sale on the side of the road. I didn't approach the woman or the dogs. Why bother? Am I going to tell them that selling dogs on the side of the road is wrong? It wouldn't matter. This clearly is her livelihood. So, I called the police in reference to animal cruelty. They arrived within 10 minutes. I left and went to Walmart. By the time I was done shopping the woman was gone and there was not 1 person on the side of the road selling dogs. Maybe I can make a small difference next weekend too.

| Thanks for helping, these poor dogs, it is a shame that people don't care. I guess they will just go somewhere else.

| It isn't common to see that around here. I can't imagine she would be comfortable in such conditions why on earth would she think that a dog wearing a fur coat would be okay? |

| Way to go Karen! Poor puppies sitting out in the heat. I'm so glad our county put an end to roadside sales.

| Good for you, Karen. Hopefully it will at least make her feel uneasy if she does it again, wondering if the cops will come. I think it's great that they did respond, and so fast.

| I never see this in Georgia near me, but we have strict animal cruelty laws.
