| WooHoo teeth brushing!!! After almost two years of having Bella and letting her taste the toothpaste off my fingers, she is letting me brush her teeth finally...with little help from my hubby. I was so proud of her. Now a question...for those that do brush their hairy kids teeth, do they still have all their teeth or at least the majority? I've ran into so many people with yorkies that have one to four teeth in their mouths. That's one of the things that bother me. |

| I have three yorkies. Teddy is only 2.5 years old and he has all his teeth Barney is 11 years old and he has all his teeth Daisy is 11 years old and she is a jack-o-lantern Brushing at home daily is by far the best you can do for your dog, along with annual vet checks and dentals if warranted, so it is great that Bella is a big fan of brushing! Congrats.

| Thanks for the reply. I will admit this has been one of my concerns. I take her in for her annual dental cleaning. First pup I've ever done that for. LOL My husband thought I was nuts when I got excited about her letting me brush. He has usually had to almost hog tie her for me to brush so the brushing has been very few and far in between. Now I can do it at least twice a week. I feel that's such a good start. |

| Hooray for you! That is wonderful news!!! Glad you stuck with it! Tibbe has all of his teeth except 2 bad ones that had to be removed when I first got him at 9 mos. of age - his teeth were very bad then. I brush his teeth almost every day and on some days twice a day if he's had anything soft that day. He will be 4 August 30, 2011.

| My dog has all his teeth and he is 3 years old. He has some tartar on his 4 (yes 4) upper canines. His canine baby teeth didn't fall out. The adults came in right in line with the others. Looking in his mouth he looks like he has great dental health (other than that tarter that needs cleaned occasionally. He's always gotten one greenie a day and chews on bully sticks occasionally. So far so good!

| You all make me feel better about the teeth. I've ran into people with yorkies where we camp and one of the first questions is does she have al her teeth (theirs are young with hardly any teeth.) Yep. 3 years old. Dental cleaning once a year, a greenie at night right before bed, and she gets cet chews after every potty break. Now I can say at least twice a week brushings. |

| Bubba was 6 in Jan and Sissy will be 6 in Sept. They both have all their teeth and I brush them. Bubba has tartar but Sissy has very little-she chews constantly on bully sticks but he doesn't. They have both had a complete dental cleaning about 2 yrs ago. Bubba is due.
