Yorkie Yakker | Pregnant Yorkie In my group of family and friends I am a well known animal lover. Although I am in the military, I volunteer on the weekends at the Pet center. My mother told me of a 14 month old and a two and a half year old yorkie that needed a new home. Of course I went to VA to see about them. My mother took the male and I took the female. I instantly fell in love. She is 4.5 lbs and he name is Baby. She acts just like one too. The dogs are not fixed and they had no records of shots. The owner said it had been awhile since they seen a vet( no shots). I took her to the vet to get shots and found out Baby is pregnant! She looks like a Baby herself! I am so nervous because I thinks she is too small. Plus she doesn't have any records of having shots since she came from the breeder. The lady that had them was a older lady and they were given to her by her children for companionship, but she was unable to keep up with them. They look great. Hair is flowing and shiny, teeth are clean, ears clean, eyes clear. They were in very good shape as far as being taken care of and loved, but she couldn't afford or couldn't get to the vet for shots. I wonder has any one been through this. The vet tech was very unclear. All they do is give shots. I had to make another appointment so see a actual vet and haven't went yet. |

| I wouldn't vaccinate a pregnant girl, if that's what you're asking. She must be at last 30 days along for it to be noticed. Are you planning on proceeding with the pregnancy? Do you have any experience with delivering toy breeds? I don't casually recommend aborting pups, but it may be the best thing in some circumstances. Maybe you could post back with more info.

| OMGoodness ! I am praying for you and I hope all will go well. The male she lived with could very likly be the father. Is he a small Yorkie ? Your Vet should be able to advise you on what needs to be done as far as whelping the litter. You may want to think about spaying her ASAP. Please keep us updated. |

| I hope all goes well with Baby. I'm sorry but I can't help you. Hopefully some others will post and be able to help you. You may want to post in the Breeder section too.

YT Addict | You are saying you can't afford to buy a puppy, but in your other thread you are asking if you should artificially inseminate one of your girls again?? Having a litter of puppies and a pregnant mom is WAAAAY more expensive than buying a puppy!!! I REALLY hope you don't try to have another litter of puppies, because if you can't afford to buy a puppy, then you REALLY can't afford to breed your girl. And I would hate for your litter to not get the right care because caring for a litter costs a LOT of money. You say you already have 4 yorkies! Thats a lot of furbabies to care for and that costs a lot of money as well!

| To the OP, please don't give a puppy to this person...things are not adding up. She can't afford a puppy, yet, artificially inseminated her 5 years old female dog. I don't understand why she can't just love the ones she have if she can't afford to buy one...Malky, don't get a puppy until you can afford to buy one, it's a simple solution!
