| Matting around mouth Hi guys i dont know if this is the right place for this question, but... How can i get rid of matting around Ziggy's mouth? He was sick, and i had to force feed him medicine, some of it would get left on his mouth and he would refuse to let me around his mouth (still mad about the force fed medicine and food, lol) but now he has 3 little medicine matts around his mouth. i tried a warm damp clothe and its not working. should i cut it? or just keep trying with the damp clothe? thanx for any advice |

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Matting gets worse when wet. Try using a little bit of corn starch to loosen them with your brush.

What she said,, You might try trimming just the tips where it is stuck tight and then the cornstarch. It will grow back and you dont want bactaria to grow there. | |

| I use coconut oil to work it out. The oil will usually dissolve the stickiness of the medicine. It works for me. Matter of fact I massage both of mine down with coconut oil about two hours before giving them a bath. Yes, they look like grease balls, but I do not have problems with tangles either! It also helps their skin. |
