| 2nd yorkie Hi I came here for advice a long time ago when I bought Lil Ru for my wife and he adopted me instead. Anyways long story short I have an opportunity to get a 2nd lil guy. I'm just wondering how they will get along my wife thinks they will fight but i doubt it. Ru is 7yrs old now and the new little guy will be 12 weeks. Any trouble in the ranks? or should things be ok, other than the break in period for a new dog in the house. Also have a golden retriever but you all answered that one bang on before I got Rufus. Thanks for any advice and i still enjoy the forum and drift by from time to time for good advice. |

| They should be fine. Older dogs tend to be more tolerant of puppies than they would be otherwise. Just make sure you allow them to meet in neutral territory, and keep them separated for awhile in the house, just until you can gauge how they react towards each other. But I definitely say go for it! Double the trouble and double the yorkie love! |

| Thanks for the quick reply. I'm sure Rufus will enjoy having someone else to chase arround the house other than the cat. Besides I have my other arm free when i get home from work. |

| I have 4 yorkies and they do great together, fortunately they are close in age, just took a couple of weeks to adjust but i think they should be fine. Rufus can have someone to boss around.
