| Puppy Hello. I was wondering how much should my Yorkie puppy eat a day. He weighs 1.3 lb and is 29weeks old. I just want to keep him healthy. Please don't give me bad comments, as I have been feeding him what his breeder recommended, and I just want to make sure. Thanks so much Annabel |

| Congrats on your new baby! My fur babies free feed but since they play so much, I sit down with them in the morning and in the evening and put some food on the blanket for them. Mine have been eating Wellness for Puppies small bite and love it. This weekend I found their new product - Wellness for Small Breed Puppies. Oh My Goodness! They love it! The pieces are even smaller than the other puppy kibble. I grabbed a handful and put it on their blanket and they just munched away. Abby is just over two pounds. I think she really liked the smaller size. They are round and really thin. I would guess together they eat about 1/3 of a cup each a day. I put about 1/4 of a cup in their bowl twice a day - first thing in the morning and then again when I get home. There is always some still in their bowl, so this is an estimate. I have some puppy Nutrical on hand just in case one of them is not eating, but after the first weekend, they have been just fine. Best wishes with your little one. |

| It depends on the calorie content of the food. Those really high can be smaller in amounts. I feed Gizmo 1/3 a cup twice a day and sometimes he eats all of it, and sometimes he doesn't. Just depends. Gizmo is 7 months and he's 4.12 lbs.
