Donating YT 30K Club Member | It's hard to say what is best for someone. When Cali was 1 1/2 I got Pixie who was 13 months. One thing to consider is that there are so many yorkies in rescue. If you are open to a rescue you could probably find one that is close in age to your baby, maybe even potty trained and spayed or neutered. You would also be giving a home to a special friend. Keep us posted on what you decide.

| That is a tough decision to make. I have been battling with it now for about 6 months. I am currently talking to a rescue about a girl. She is close to Rosie's age and weight which I am thrilled about. I am planning a play day with a friend of mine who has a Yorkie too. Just to make sure my furbaby can get along with another. You might want to try that as well. There has been some that just can't get along with others.

| Please look into a rescue. There are so many that need homes. You should be allowed to meet the potential new dog first and see how your dog interacts with it. You usually have a few days, maybe a week, to make up your mind after you take the dog before the adoption is final. When I adopted my little Chihuahua, Lavender, they held my check for the adoption fee for a week. Then when I said the adoption was final, they cashed the check. There are some really wonderful dogs in rescue. You should be able to find exactly what you want. Good luck. Jeanette |
