| And you'd think they should know better... It's disgusting to hear that young idiots shopping, leave their pets in the car to suffer & die....but to hear that police officers do..... Police dogs bake to death in car | The Sun |News

| Very sad! The officer will most likely loose his job and he will FOREVER have to live with his stupid moment. Here it is against the law to leave an animal in a car if it is above 75 outside. You can even dial 911 over it. I did watch a lady leave her tiny dog in a car in July once. There was an officer close by,I requested that he find the lady and have her take the dog home. He told me that it was just a dog. I told him that I would be happy to dial 911 and request his super,it was still against the law and I was a citizen making a request that he do his job. I pointed out that talking to the lady would produce NO paperwork, a 911 call with his super showing up would create a tall mountain of paperwork for him,his super (who would not be happy),they would end up breaking the window of the car, calling someone to take charge of the animal and be standing in the unshaded parking lot for no less than an hour. He decided that finding her in the store was a much better idea. I stuck around until they came back out of the store. |
