| Do clothes make your dog get matted hair I used to let Edie wear her turtleneck sweater all day long in the winter. But I noticed that she would get terrible mats in her fur--particulary in her under-arm area. Have you had this experience? I would like to get Edie some PJs and other clothes, but the matting hair is a problem. Since we are in Maine, I do put a coat on her when she goes out in the winter, but it is only for a short time, so no mats. Alison |

| I'm having that same problem. It's so hard to get the matting out, but it's cold outside and the puppies need to be kept warm.

| I put a sweater on Widget one day and it gave her horrible matts under her arms. My house can be a bit drafty and she's so small that I'd like to put something on her, but getting those matts out were miserable for her and upsetting to me! Any body have suggestions for something heavier than a Tshirt???

| Honestly they can. I have to be careful leaving pajamas on chloe for a long time. She does okay with everything but her pjs. I have to brush her real good before putting them on her or she gets matted under her arms. I line my coats in satin because satin helps keep the dogs hair from matting. I also make satin lining available for my dog clothes on my website

| Gucci's hair gets matted if I let her clothes on. Shana thank you so much for the tip of using satin lining. |
