| Daisy I am having my baby spayed on Friday and i am worried as she is 2 years old and only weighs 3lb is it the right thing to do? |

| Hi and Welcome to YT! Many small dogs are successfully spayed, just be sure to do the pre-op bloodwork first, to be sure she's okay to handle the anesthesia, and to rule put any underlying problems.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Like Kathy said make sure the vet does the pre anesthetic blood work and she should do fine. She will be sleepy the first 24-48 hours but after that you will be surprised how quickly they bounce back. Most vets give them a shot to help with the first 24 hours of pain control and some pills to take home if needed. I will keep Daisy in my prayers for a safe surgery.
