YT Addict | Can't tell if Dolce has a silky coat or cottony coat I've read the other forums about the differences between the two but I'm still unsure. I thought she had a cottony coat, but now i think it was just that she needed a bath lol. After I gave her bath her coat turned very straight and shiny and silky, but the area by her tail is still looking a little cottony i guess. Here are some pictures to show u what I'm talking about.

| Dolce looks a lot like my Jada too and Jada has more of a modified coat. She doesn't mat very much, but she is not a silky and has curl in her hair when it is long. Dolce is a little doll whatever coat she has.

YT Addict | Thank you all very much! Yes she is my little angel and I love her very very much! I'm thinking she may shed this coat too since she is only 8 months old. The hair towards the roots looks like it is growing in a lot straighter and not as "frizzy" as the ends of her hair. She still is not changing colors on her back but the top of her head is turning gray where it was black in the middle. How long did it take ur babies to change color on their backs? Dolce's roots are still black?

| She looks like my Sophie who is a cotton coat. Also remember...you can shine a flashlight in their eyes. Silky reflect back green. Cotton reflect back red. |

YT Addict | i will definitely try the flashlight thing tonight. She used to mat when i first got her about 4 months ago, but her coat is kinda changing a little. Now it just tangles occasionally. But its not like how my boy cats fur mats up.
