| Typical Yorkie Personality? Hi! My yorkie is 17 months old, and he follows me around EVERYWHERE! It's like he is glued to me. He follows me from room to room, and if I happen to go in a room without him and close the door, he will lay down outside the door and whine until I come out. I love this, but it drives my husband crazy! My question is, are all yorkies so attached?

| Roxie sometimes follows us around, but she only gets really upset when we both go upstairs (where the bedrooms are). She doesn't like going upstairs, so a lot of the time she will sit at the bottom of the staircase and bark until we come down. Very rarely will she get brave and come up.

| Ziva follows me, not so much to whine but to see what I am doing. When she waited at the bedroom door I made a game of putting my fingers under the door and tickling her, it has turned into a fun game for everyone, every door! |

| I've always found them to be very attached to their owners. Mine have always followed my husband or I around everywhere we go - you'll never have peace and solitude in the bathroom again!

| Foxy follows me EVERYWHERE...The only time she wont get up to follow me is if I am still within her eyesight. But you can feel those beady little eyes just staring you down, waiting for me to walk into the next room so she can jump up and follow me..lol..

| Yep, I have learned to make certain that doors don't close until both my shadows are safely through. I didn't realize how bad it was until we stayed at my in-laws for a few days due to a funeral. They were the ones who pointed it out.

| Princess is completely my shadow. When she's sleeping I feel bad about leaving whichever room, as 9/10 times she flies up to follow me. If I do shut a door she barks like she cannot believe I'd do such a thing! lol. The only place she'll leave me alone at is the kitchen if I'm cooking, it's like she some how knows it's dangerous.

A little off topic - I can't believe you owned a Schipperke! I have always thought they were such cute dogs at dog shows, but I have never met anyone who owned one!

| It's instinct. Dogs are pack animals, and the pack must stay together! Some just have a stronger pack instinct than others.

| ^^^I love that. I relish in the fact that I'm her pack leader, she is very loyal. I think Roxy does it as a protective thing too, I think she thinks I can't take care of myself. lol I don't mind it I think its kinda cute.
