| Coloring Question... I took Lulu to the groomers yesterday ( they did a great job btw), and she said that her colors werent going to change a whole lot. I was wondering when you will know what they will look like? Lulu is 8 months now. We weighed her and she is a whopping 2.6 pounds!! |

| In my non-expert opinion, Yorkie coats never stop changing. Color changes are determined by genetics. You would have to look at at least a couple generations in your pup's background to get an idea of what her adult colors will be. My boys are brothers and both had significant changes in their head coloring at age 2. Your girl is adorable and the groomer did a very nice job.

| Lulu is such a doll!! I think she is going to be a darker yorkie, her brown is pretty dark. That is just IMO, I am no breeder!

| My Gidget is a darker yorkie and stayed darker longer. I agree with both posters. Yours looks like it will be on the darker side, and a yorkie's coat changes color throughout its life. I am not a breeder, though. Breeders could probably give you more specifics.
