| Endeavour just came home, the dogs went crazy As I stood in the driveway, I hoped to see the Boeing jet lights bringing Endeavour home but she loops around and comes in from the north west and I could not see her but we sure felt the sonic booms. I live only 3o minutes south of KSC. I found myself standing there starring in the sky with tears in my eyes. As each of the shuttles have flown their last flights, it has felt like something is going out in America and it is such a scarry feeling. Tomorrow Atlantis will be launched on her last flight and when she comes home I have this awful feeling that many of us feel like a very bright light has been dimmed and may never shine so brightly again. Living and working within thes programs has been a great source of pride for Americans and I believe that we have done a marvelous job of bringing so many nations to the forefront with this tremendous achievement. As we see Atlantis off tomorrow and embrace her when she comes home, I hope all of us will find the strength to keep that American pride and hope alive.

| I will miss that double pop-pop of the shuttle coming in (I always think the water heater blew up!) Atlantis' liftoff next Wednesday will be a memorable day for all. |

| Both Bruce and I slept through it. Not surprised at Bruce sleeping through it though - when he was about 12 a tornado took the roof of his parents house and he slept through it, only woke when the rain hit him! Usually I hear the loud bang and the dogs always bark. This time we missed it.

♪♥ Jazi & Izi's Mom ♥♫ Donating Member | I slept through it too. I don't think the girlz heard it..if they did, they didn't bark! I agree with you on how sad the last one will be next week. So many jobs, so much will change in this great county of Brevard... :-(

| I was mistaken about Atlantis launch... Messed up on the detail of date thought it was this Wed. I think in my house with 8 yorkies, all it takes is for 1 to be startled and they all go off. That particular evening I waited for Endeavour to come in thinking I could see the Boeing lights, NOT... Mary
