| Tips on Grooming I took Major to the groomer today at Petco, usually go to Petsmart but they have changed are their people. Why I dont know. Well the lady was kind of rough with him. they have this huge blow dryer thing and he doesnt like air being blown in his face, so she was getting fustrated that he was squirming and trying to get away. I also warned that he is a dare devil so dont leave him on the table by himself. But she did and the leash thingy was on his neck so he was kind of hanging there. So I left with a wet puppy. He does really well with grooming. I was wondering are there any tips to grooming him at home? Or if you stay in he Southeast area of Virginia any good groomers that I maya use? |

| That woman should be reported!!! It is totally wrong and dangerous for a groomer to turn their backs on a pup like that! I don't know anyone in your area so cannot suggest a groomer. There is a grooming forum on YT where you can get some tips if you want to try to do it yourself. There are also books and videos on the topic.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I just learned by trial and error. I am too afraid to have them go somewhere. I am glad Major was ok. I have seen that so many times at Petsmart where they are not paying attention to a dog on the table. Scary

| There are a few videos on youtube that show Yorkie grooming. You can even search videos there for "Yorkie ear grooming" etc. I recently found a mobile groomer who will come to the house. She let me go in side the van and help hold my dog and let her know exactly how I wanted my dog trimmed since I told her I didn't want her to use a restraint around her neck. I was really happy with the mobile grooming since it was one on one attention, no cage drying and I never had to leave my baby. Best of luck with finding Major a groomer. I'm really glad you got your puppy out of there before he was hurt. |
