| Just wanted to share.... Yesterday, my baby Melody was spayed.... and i stayed home today w her and Chloe... just to make sure everything is ok.. while playing w them i realized... how much i love them.. how much they have changed me... i was never the super lovey-dovey type.... but they melt my heart... i cannot imagine why life would be w/o them... i am willing to change my lifestyle for them... wherever i go.... wherever i travel all i think about, is coming home to them... they just make me happy in a way no other living creature can... they make me laugh, they make me cry (when they are sick, or don't let me sleep in peace), they are perfection to my eyes.... i can spend days curled in the couch w them or laying on the floor letting them shower w kisses... they saved my life... and i thank God everyday because they are here... Just needed to share.. i love them so much.. and my friends dont understand, they think i am crazy... but i know you guys do... thanks for letting me vent...

| What a SWEET post! I totally agree. It is amazing the love that they give us. I often will be petting Jackson at night, rubbing his belly, when he's real tired and lovey, and just tell him how much I love him and that he's the best dog ever. I don't know what I would do without him. He made my life somewhat whole again after my little brother died and has made me the happiest I had been since then. I am truly so thankful for him.

| What a sweet post. You are right that we all understand exactly how you feel, and know what an impact Yorkies can have on our lives. Sometimes when I'm talking to my little fury girls, I think I'd be embarrassed if anyone heard me.... the way I carry on with them is just like they are people (well they are, aren't they?). My life would be very dull without them.

| What a sweet post, and yes we totally understand! My friends think I'm crazy too, but they have come to understand how I feel about my babies. And I often find myself already dreading the day I outlive my little guys.... And even though God willing that's YEARS to come..... It terrifies me.

| I can relate to your post. I absolutley love my Rocco. I tell him like a million times a day. Everything I do is with his best interest at heart. I look at him sometimes while he is playing or just sleeping and just appreciate his innocence. It brings tears to my eyes. (is that crazy?) He gives nothing but unconditional love to me. He has really made a huge difference in my life. I have had him since this past September and I thank God everday for bringing him into my life.

| I totally understand & agree with you. My husband and I have changed our lifestyle, for sure. When my dear departed Truffles was older, we rarely went out for long periods, never traveled and when she had been hospitalized once, we brought her home and literally did not leave her alone one minute for a solid 2 weeks until her recovery was finished. And, the funny thing about that was that we never once discussed it, we just always knew that she could not be left alone during recovery! And, now, with our new baby Coco, we won't leave her alone for more than 2-3 hours because of her potty training, AND, we don't want her to get lonely as she's only been home with us 2 weeks,2 days. Otherwise, she comes with us. You're right, most non-dog people would never understand this. Frankly, before we had Truffles, I probably wouldn't have understood either. I know better now. And, there's nothing better than making our babies feel loved, because they give us everything they've got. It's just a small way to re-pay that love. |
