| Shaking after shots?? Our 13 week old puppy got her second round of puppy shots today about 3 hours ago. She has been shaking for the past hour. Is this normal - she's scaring me! Last edited by foofoobunny; 05-17-2011 at 03:23 PM. |

| Call the vet's after hours number and ask what they want you to do. It is not normal. They may say to give benadryl and see if that solves it, but a vet should know what is going on.

| Agree...should not be shaking...could be a reaction to the shots. Mine had it and we did have to give them benadryl and one had to be taken in for 2 shots.

| Ziva had this when she was young. I called the vet and they told me their wasn't anything to do. We just held on tight for hours, my daughter and I taking turns. I held off on her next shots and got them only one at a time and refused the lepto part. Maybe someone will come on and see if benydrl would be helpful or if an emergency vet could do anything. So sorry... |

| Make sure before you give Benedryl you find out the correct dose for such a young pup..... your vet should be able to give you this info.

| I called the vet. He said that it was just a reaction to the pain. She was yelping anytime we touched her shoulder area. I think the shaking was just a reaction to the hurting. Anyway, she is not shaking now, just a little sleepy and seems to be fine |

| I am glad you called the vet. So many things can go wrong in such a short time that it is better to be safe than sorry. Hope she gets to feeling better soon. Hugs!!
