| It really depends on each puppy. You can try get them shaved, some people will even ask you to tape them. Some puppies have naturally floppy ears |

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | At four months they should be standing by not or at least on there way. I would suggest doing what I have done with much success and have the entire ear shaved, both (front & back.) That will take the extra weight off of them and help them to stand up. Dont worry about how it looks, it will grow back. You may have to do it several times before you will notice any change. You can alway give them a gentle massage a few times a day also. But on the other hand...you can do and do and do everything to try to get them to stand and some just do not. The term is called Heavy Leather, meaning the ear it self it too thick and will not stand. I have three with ears up and one ears down. Good luck...

| my dogs are floppy , well, half stand up and half floppy, I think its because I never really kept up on shaving her ears and she has a very cottony coat and its heavy... I love them floppy it makes her unique! I still do have them tipped even though they flop

| When Suzi was a little puppy we had to shave her ears too. When we did, her ears stood straight up. I have also heard that when a puppy is teething their ears can flop down.
