Little Amber coming home next week Hi Everyone, I did not get to pick up my little Amber yesterday. When the breeder brought her to the vet, he said with my experience with little puppies it would be alright to let me take her now. The breeder said she would feel much more comfortable if I waited just 1 more week. Amber is only 9 weeks old. I agreed with her totally. And it makes me respect her even more because she is very careful when placing these little ones. So now the plan is to pick her up at the end of next week. It was dissapointing, but, we both want to do whatever is best for Amber. I will keep you posted and post pictures of all my puppies as soon as I can. Thanks for listening. You guys are great.

I just know you must be soooooo disappointed! I know I would be! But you are a GOOD little doggie mommy! And as Bettye said, you are buying Amber from a responsible breeder. Gentle hugs from all of us and the puppy breath* is coming! *My friend Kim, who is the Chihuahua Rescue lady for Wisconsin, says that they should bottle "Puppy Breath" because it is a super aphrodisiac. Think about it. She's right! hehehehe

Yep, sounds like a good breeder if they aren't rushing it! Although, we did get Yoda at 4 weeks. Well, at least you'll have something to look forward to for next week!

Getting ready for Amber Hi Everyone, Thanks again for all your kind words. I'm going to look at this little delay in getting my baby, as a chance to make sure everything is just perfect for her. I have pee pee pads, toys, clothes, food, a bed. Lots of books on Yorkies to read. And it is a comforting feeling to know that I have such nice people to talk to and ask questions of right at my fingertips. It is so nice to be able to share this experience with people who really know how I feel about animals and don't think I'm nuts. I even bought a little doggie stroller for my babies. You will all be the first to know when I get her. I'm so excited I feel like I'm going to bust. Thanks again everyone.

Hi. I'm know exactly how you feel. I recently purchased my first yorkie puppy but she will not be coming home for 3 more weeks. I can hardly stand it! I have already been waiting for 3 weeks since we went and picked her out when she was 2 weeks old. I have gone to see her since then but it's so hard to leave without them even though you know you have to. But I have been getting everything she will need and making sure I have everything ready. I even got her a personalized puppy blanket with her name CLEOPATRA!! Anyway I was just looking for puppy tips and yorkie info. and I stumbled across this forum. I sure have read alot of great things on here! So I thought I would register and come chat. Thanks for all the great info.

I know my husband says I'm spoiling her too much already!! But I can't help it, they make the neatest and cutest things for puppies. I have some pics of her at 1 month when I get them developed I will try and post them. Thanks for the great welcome! Also can anyone tell me if yorkie puppies sometimes have white markings or are they always black and tan? If they do have white markings what does that mean and will they stay? Thanks again.

Usually all the Yorkie babies I see are dark and all black except for the face. I don't recall seeing any babies that weren't like that!
