| The Groomer Ruined My Baby! Rylie's usual groomer left the place where I normally take to get her cut... My mom left her there anyway figuring it would be fine because they had her cut on file and she discussed the cut with them before she left. Well... they completely ruined her! Her little beard is GONE. Her gorgeous eyebrows that I loved so much were trimmed off. They even shaved too close to her skin near her eyes on her nose... there are bald spots!!!! Now I have to worry about her hair growing back in and poking her in the eyes. She looks awful We've already found a new groomer to try, but my baby is going to look funny until her hair grows back I think the worst deformity is the missing beard. She looks so weird! I feel so bad. They are just lucky my mom picked her up. I would have had a fit! She just paid and left no tip. Anyone know how to help her bald spots grow back in without poking her in the eyes??? |

| Oh that is just awful. I don't know about the hair growing back and poking her in the eyes but I'm sure someone will help you with that. I'm so sorry that happened. How is Rylie doing? Sometimes they just know that they have had a bad haircut. Poor little girl. I'm sure she is just as beautiful as before. Give her a kiss and hug from Scooter.

| I am so sorry!! I have been there before. It is very upsetting when they mess up their cuts. One groomer shaved the hair off of Rosie's back legs. Not all legs just the back ones. I was livid!! The good news is that it will grow back. And I just bet your baby is still a cutie pie without her beard. Hang in there momma, it will grow back.

| I'm so sorry. I understand how you feel. It is so hard to find a good groomer. They are truly few and far between!

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | sorry your baby got such a bad haircut. since the other girl left i wonder if a fresh, new groomer did her. It can't be that bad though. Lets see a pic. I'm sure she's still really cute.

I'm getting used to it. I still think she's cute (how could she not be), but she just doesn't look like HER. Hanging in there. I've just never had to experience a bad haircut lol. I was nervous the very first time I took her about this, but I thought I was home free!

| There are so many different ways that people cut I have watched videos of so many different people grooming Yorkies. I cannot believe some of the awful things they do to the poor dogs. You do need to discuss with a new groomer exactly what will be done because so many have their own ideas of how to trim a Yorkie. Many just shave all their fur off. I suppose some people may want that done in the summer if they are going to be swimming but my baby gets cold so easily I would never want all her fur shaved off. |

I will post a new pic once the bald spots fill in a bit... They bother me a lot. Plus, I don't think Rylie would appreciate mama posting pictures of her at her worst all over the internet lol.

I'll make sure the groomer we go to next knows exactly what they are doing... I mean business lol. To be honest, I wouldn't even really care so much if it weren't for the fact I am worried about her eyes! Hair grows back, no biggie. Sure she'd look like a freak for awhile, but that's okay. She's still pretty adorable, especially with that personality! However, I am bothered by the fact that the regrow process could cause her potential pain and possible eye problems... Anyone ever experience problems with growing back hair near the eyes? If so, how did you solve it?

| I feel your pain....I brought ours to the groomer a while back....We had him for about 6 months and I had been letting his hair grow. He had gorgeous long leg hair.....and they SHAVED it off! I was so specific that I truly don't know how they got it wrong but I wanted to cry....It's finally growing back. I'm going to be grooming him myself from now on. I've been grooming my mom's schnauzer so I think I'll be able to handle it. Is grooming your little one yourself something you might want to try. You can probably do better yourself. Hoping that all her hair grows back soon! |

I will be sure to continue to have it scissored or thinned. That's what her old groomer used to do. Her face wasn't shaved AT ALL, just her body.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I understand your frustration! I am sorry, and thankfully yes, it does grow back but it is still so upsetting when groomers do things like that. I just recently had Taycie groomed and I was super frustrated when I picked her up. I SPECIFICALLY said don't touch the nose, I am trying to let it grow.. so what do you think she did??? Oh she touched it alright and cut a dent into right between her eyes! It was like opps! I remember I wasn't supposed to do that! I was so mad! Thankfully, being a hair dresser myself, I took some thinning shears to that spot and blended it in, but I thought come on! I even saw you write it down! Not to mention I took 2 pictures in! She also cut her eyebrows and she told me they are still growing eventually they will be in her top knot.. I said, that's strange? They were in her top knot this morning when I dropped her off. Maybe hair shrinks now? Yes, thankfully it does grow back!

Maybe this is an opportunity to start self-grooming because we couldn't possibly mess it up anymore than it already is lol. Lemons into lemonade?
