| I have a friend with a yorkie like that. I've never seen anything like it. He can jump up onto the bathroom counter! I wish I could help you. All you can do is build a higher gate!

| Bella does that too! She is still only 4 months old so her jumping isnt to high to keep her confined, but she doesnt stop jumping! We have a pen that we use for potty training. Whenever we put her into it for potty time, she just jumps the whole time.

| I swear ZoE has springs in her hind legs instead of muscles! She is a jumper and can reach anything hanging off the edge of the kitchen counter in one leap! Her playpen is useless at confining her now. I just close off some rooms by closing the doors and she gets free run of the rest of the house. She's 19 weeks old. I'm so thankful that she is potty-trained already .

| Zach is a jumper also. He can jump almost anything. He jumped out of his xpen when he was about 5 months old and almost broke his nose because he somehow landed on his face. Now at one year he seems to have calmed down and since he shares his pen with his brother Oliver our shih tzu and Zoe our 15 month old shorkie he doesn't try to escape as much. |

| I tried many things and Melody won't budge .... I adopted her from a friend who couldn't take care of her anymore, and I have the feeling her behaviour is because she is scarab would too abandon her ... I try to make her feel ok, I play w her cuddle her, but it doesn't matter, even when she is w her sister she tried to escape and becomes extremely uneasy when I leave!! What can I do???

| My teapot girl was able to jump any gate I used until I got the one below, it's tall and has nothing the dogs can use to climb. Only problem is, if your dog is under 4 1/2 lbs, or are thinly built, they can squeeze between the rails. Walmart.com: Regalo - Easy Step Extra-Tall Walk-Thru Metal Gate: Health & Safety If you use the xpen type pen, you could get a cover for Xpens. There are canvas covers or metal covers that are made of the same xpen material. I have one of each type - never had a girl climb out! Amazon.com: Precision Pet Pro Handler Exercise... 4' x 4' GoGo Exercise Pen UV Top / Cover Royal Blue | Dog Kennel Covers Good luck

Thanks for the advice, i am going to give it a try.... i bought a extra tall at walmart, but it doesnt matter she will jump it in a heart beat.... both my girls are over 6 pounds, so i shouldnt have any issues with that... well, Melody is 9 lbs and on the skinny side... but i'll try it anyway!! if anyone has any other ideas, i am open to suggestions!! i am desperate!!

| That little imp I'd be curious to see what the resolution to this is. I think covering her pen is a good idea. You may just have to show her again who is alpha because she might just be testing you. |
