| I Was Told Not To Buy My Yorkie My Aunt Has A Yorkie. She Is Very Cute. I Was Asking Her Where She Got Her From And She Told Me. Well I Emailed Her The Other Day And I Told Her I Was Getting One. I Didnt Tell Her Mine Would Have Floppy Ears. She Just Wrote To Me "dont But The Ones With Floppy Ears They Are Either Sick Or Not Pure Breed" THE PUP IS 16 WEEKS 4 LBS AND FLOPPY EARS Now I Am Sooooooo Scared... But I Called Both Of My Vets And They Both Where Like "what That Means Nothing. IT CAN STILL BE PURE" So Now I Am Stilll Getting Him But Now I Know Whenever I See My Aunt Whom I Never See, She Is Gonna Look At Me Like I Am Crazy For Getting The Floppy Ear One. And In Her Head She Is Going To Think He Is A Mut BECAUSE HER DOG LOOKS LIKE THE "TYPICAL" YORKIE! |

| Just tell her "love is love, purebred or not." You will know and it doesn't matter what she thinks!

| Logan ears didn't stand fully erect until he was almost 5 months old so there is still time. Also if this is the pup you feel in love with than who cares what she thinks. And from what I've read the ears don't have any bearing on anything.

| Oh, my, don't let her ruin your decision. It is yours to make. You can tape his ears or: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22571 Bet they'll stand and you can stand there and stare down your auntie!

| There are always people we meet in our lives or come across that say things to bother us. Just ignore them and move on. Enjoy your baby floppied ear or not. Your baby is still young and the floppy ears might go away or not. It does not mean your baby is not a Yorkie. Nor does it mean it wont be loved whichever way those ears do decide to go.

| I love my floppy purebred baby. For some reason, Maddie's ears never stood up - but I like them that way. Her ears are REALLY big compared to her head and when you stand them up, she kind of looks like a bat. When the breeder saw Maddie after a few months (we have formed a very nice friendship) she was upset. I told her that Maddie's health and temperment were the most important things to me. If that little baby captured your heart - it belongs with you!

| Oh please! Baileys ears were down until he was between 6-7 months old, now they are standing tall!

| That was real silly of your Aunt to say. Purebread yorkies have floppy ears too. His ears will probably goe up after hes done teething. I wouldnt worry about what she has to say.

| Many yorkies that are pure bred have down ears and as someone else said, these ears many times don't go up until after teething. I think I remember that you are very young! If you love this little one get and since you don't see your Aunt alot that always helps. Be sure to show us pictures.

| I had a brother who was born with a big nose. He eventually grew into his nose. we didn't give him away and he turned out to be a good and loving brother. LOL. who cares what your aunt thinks. My whole family looks at me like I am nuts just for treating my yorkies like they are part of the family or better. I tell them I don't care what they think. I think they still love me. and Ahia's ears never did stand up either. probably would have if i had worked harder to make them. standing ears or not they are still yorkie and need love just the same as standing eared ones. don't turn him down for that reason alone.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | That isn't true. Tucker's ears are floppy, his ears are too heavy, but he is still a pure breed. It doesn't mean anything if their ears aren't up. A lot of times they go up after they are done teething, or if you shave/ or tape them. Good luck, and don't let ears keep you from getting your baby!
