| Puppy growls when I wipe her feet My 12 week old has started to growl when I wipe her feet, is that normal or is she being aggressive? Last edited by heartmyyorkie; 04-15-2011 at 03:25 PM. |

| Sammy is 12 years old and has never liked his feet touched. When I wipe his feet off he makes a sound like he's talking to me and letting me know that he's not happy, but I do it anyway!! Maybe their paws are ticklish? |

| Copper is a little over a year. He does the same thing. I just turn him over, tell him no, and continue to wipe his feet as gently as I can. Usually he calms down and lets me.

| Tibbe growls and grouses frequently as it is his nature to talk back. He is aggressive. I love an aggressive terrier. But he is not aggressive-dominant or a biter - you can reach into his mouth and take out his favorite chewie, play with his food as he eats, etc. But that little toot loves to talk back!!! I think it is cute. Let your little guy complain if you don't mind it but gradually teach him you are mom and he is kid in a loving, gentle, positive way. He won't change his little 'tude and you will have a well-behaved and happy all-terrier baby.

| Mine does the same thing. It is either because it tickles or they don't like it. |

| Dex does it too. he has very sensative feet. it's taken a LOT (years) of positive training to get him to stop screaming like i am killing him when i cut his nails. start training now because it takes a lot longer to reverse a behaviour... i am not a trainer or anything, but i would suggest touching her foot gently and giving her a treat when she doesnt growl. slowly work your way up to wiping off her feet with lots of treats and praise and if touching her feet becomes a happy, fun, yummy time, hopfully it will stop it developing into an aggressive thing. |

| They look fine not dry at all. She lets me touch them but when her feet are soaked from dew I would squeeze them a little with a towel. Perhaps I need to be more gentle. |

| Sophie Kate is not a fan of having her feet wiped either, it took awhile for her to realize she was not going to win that fight and I would be wiping her feet.
