| can I keep my puppy clothes on with her everyday and every hours? I kept her clothes on every single day and every hours, even when she is sleeping. The question is can puppy wear clothes everyday without taking off? |

| Mine wear tees and dresses most of the day...I take them off at night..and they are clipped short, so there is not tangling..if a Yorkie is in full coat, it will need brushing much more often... |

| I like to take them off either in the morning or at night and give them a good brushing to make sure they don't get matted. I also like to give them some time to just run and play with nothing on- but in the winter they wear clothes almost all the time- usually in the morning I take their jammies off and give them a good brushing and then change them into something else and again at night they get a good brushing before their jammies get put back on.

| I wouldn't think that keeping clothing on top of their coat and skin for prolonged periods of time would allow for their best health and comfort. You might call your veterinarian and vet medical school for best guidance on leaving pets in clothiing.

| mine wears a hoodie or some sort of sleeveless shirt at ALL TIMES because he's always FREEZING (I have a tumor on my pituitary gland so I get VERY hot and so my apartment is always at about 50 degrees - which is 20 degrees warmer than it is outside...) and he will actually shivver to the point of TEETH CHATTERING without a shirt. In fact - once a week or so when we bathe him we leave him shirt-less for as long as we can but before nightfall he goes through his "bin" and picks out a shirt HIMSELF (lmao) and will carry it around in his mouth while following me all around lololol. My vet has seen him every week since we got him for shots and because he had a nasty ear-yeast infection and he has apx 25 assorted outfits that fit him (we change his shirt about every 3 days) and I wash them with johnson and johnson shampoo. Again, our vet, having seen the teeth-chatter himself while examining 'Star without his shirt - not only is fine with full-time clothing but advocates it - as this breed tends to run a body temp of 102-103 degrees and are prone to immuno-deficiency when cold and thus compromised. |

| Princess has been in clothes the entire time since Oct. maybe, when it started to get cold. I try to keep my apt. around 70* so it's really not too bad, but I will find Princess curled up on my bed shivering when she's "naked". She literally jumps into the clothes. Her hair is very short now though, so I don't worry about mats. I don't plan on dressing her all the time in the summer, maybe if we'll be outside for a prolonged period of time to protect her from the sun.

| In the winter time Callie pretty much has clothes on all the time a sweater during the day and a fleece night gown at night. During the summer she is naked most of the time some times toward the end of the day if it gets cooler and she seems cold I will put a shirt on her and at night she will still sleep in her fleece night gown. I keep Callie in a puppy cut so the clothes dont really bother her hair unless its something that was thrown in the dryer and forgot to put a bounce sheet in with it

| She shouldn't need clothes in the heat of summer. You wouldn't want her to overheat...

| I wouldn't suggest leaving clothes or hair accessories on unsupervised. Nor collars. If you leave for the day (work/etc) take everything off. Clothes and collars can become a strangulation problem, especially if caught on something and hair accessories can be scratched out, chewed on, and choking as a result. One of mine decided to rub her body while wearing a stretch material type outfit against the x-pen and it got caught, which she got partially pulled off - and wrapped around her neck - and she got scared and started thrashing...if I had not have been home she would of been stranguled.

| I dress mine when I am at home. But would never leave them in clothes or anything when I am gone. I have a fear of them getting hung up on something and no one here to get them out. Oh I shrug thinking of it. Last edited by Gatord; 04-02-2011 at 06:30 PM. Reason: (sp) |

Gatsby is not a big clothes guy but when i am home or we are going on a walk I will put a sweater on him if its cold or a solid white tank top on if its hot (he has black fur and he just gets soo hot the white shirt helps) but if i even have to go to the bathroom either he goes with me or i take everything off
