| Harness for Molly? Is there a harness that Molly can wear all the time or is that unsafe? |

| Darwin and Mabel wear collars most of time with id and harnesses for their walks. I don't think it would be really dangerous but it may cause more knots in the hair. |

| Harnesses are safer than collars. But I would never leave a collar or harness on them when they are crated or unattended. They do make break away collars, so if they get it caught on something, the force of trying to free themselves breaks the collar apart, that would be the safest option imo.

| Personally, I use harnesses only when we go out. I just adopted my yorkie Belle in February, but I also have a 1 1/2 yr old shih tzu, Oliver. He was boarded last summer for a week and they left his harness on him the entire time.... when I saw the mats it caused in his coat I wanted to CRY! My poor little boy must have been so uncomfortable.... So not sure about safety, but if you keep her coat long it wouldn't be a good idea IMO |

| I would think wearing a harness all the time would be really uncomfortable and cause a rash under the front legs. Thats why mine wears a collar with her id on it all the time and the harness only when we go somewhere and she is going to have to be hooked to the leash

| Same here....collars all the time with ID and harness only when walking. Definitely brush out the knots immediately after removing harness. |

| I prefer to use a harness only for walks, with a collar for id as previously mentioned. But sometimes, Charlee does wear a harness all day...mostly when I leave her with my elderly father...he finds the small clips on the harness to be difficult to manipulate, so I put the harness on in the morning, and then take it off when I get home in the evening. Then it isn't as difficult for him to take her out for a walk during the day. Her coat is silky and long, but I haven't had any real matting issues, this year, I'm looking forward to using her new silk harness by Chattiesmom. I think that will work even better when I have to leave it on her all day |
