| I found a dog...what to do? Peanut and I were walking, all of a sudden a lab mix jumps out on us. She is very sweet only has a flea coller on Then she followed me...all the way home lol. I gave her some food and she didnt even chew it, i think she has been on the streets a couple days, but im not sure bc bigger dogs are usually pigs. Hard to tell. Now she is on my patio looking at me. What do I do with her? How should I go about finding her parents? What if they dont want her? Ughh what to do?

| I would post an ad on Craigslist and make sure you don't include her sex or maybe that she is wearing a flea collar so you make sure that you find the real owner. Also, I would take her to the vet to get scanned for a microchip. Good luck! I found a yorkie once and wish I hadn't found his owner He was not very well taken care of...

| I live in condos..ill put the flyers at the mailboxs.. only one spot for the mail. I feel so bad for her, she is so sweet and she listens. She was really hungry so that makes me think she has been on the streets for awhile, but then again she is kinda chunky lol. I hope I can find her owners, I also hope Dh isnt shockef when he sees her on our patio!!

| Call your local news paper in the morning & place a found ad. Most news papers will run found ads for free. Also call your local shelter & give them the info so if someone comes in looking for her they will contact you. Fliers are the next best thing and craigslist is good but not everyone has a computer. |

| If this happened to me I would be driving the streets looking for her. It's dark & she's black , not easy to see in the dark & dog verses car doesn't often come out in the dogs favor. |

Oh no! She left? Maybe she's a wanderer and her people just let her roam. My neighbor in Irvine would open her door in the morning so her dog can wander around and do his business. She would wait for him to scratch on the door, or call for him in 20 mins. This lab girl could have just decided to go home.

| Well I went looking around with a flashlight, Couldnt find her. Im so sad. I wish I would have kept her inside, I feel im at fault. I hope I see her in the morning..maybe she will come back for food. Where I live is pretty quiet, no "major" streets. Ugh I feel so bad, My heart hurts she is going to be out there tonight with no shelter.

| If you do find this dog again, be sure to check out this sticky. It's got lots of good info on what to do if you find a lost dog.

| Yea when I lived there I swear I could not leave my house without rescuing a dog. I remember one time I thought I would just make a quick trip to the grocery store & ended up with 4 stray dogs in my van. I don't know why people have so much trouble keeping their dogs contained there, I never found it diff to do but I felt at times that I was the only one that did. |
