| Hiding places I know that because they are so small, yorkies can hide almost anywhere. Especially when they are still puppies. Herc tends to roam to the same few places all the time and none are his bed. Since last night he keeps climbing into the bathroom trash can. Usually he hides in my purse or in my niece's diaperbag. I'm not sure why he wants to lay in the trash can, but he will sit by the door (that I now keep closed b/c I don't want him in the trash) and cry to get in. I suppose I will go buy him a different bed to see if I can get him interested in it. Until then I will be keeping the bathroom door closed. Where have you found your baby hiding??

| Bitsy likes to hide under my pantry cabinet, or squeeze herself under the microwave cart

| The only time one of mine (Zada to be exact) hid was when they saw me get the towels and shampoo out. Zada would hide under my bed, right in the middle where I couldn't reach her. I have a CA. king bed. I got smart after a couple times of that business and would just pick her up at bath time, then get the towels and shampoo.

| The bed he has now is a plush dog house. It is large enough for him and the Heartbeat teddy bear I got him and it is den-ish. I will look for the cave type and see if he likes it better. Maybe he knows that my sister bought it for him from Build-a-Bear and he is boycotting it b/c it wasn't bought at a pet store. = )

| Princess used to hide in plain sight...in the shoes by the front door. she had her bed for months & never slept in it. she'd also climb into a laundry basket, so it finally occurred to me to put the bed in the basket. i did that for a while, then put the bed alone by the shoes and voila! she feels more comfortable by the door...cuz you know she is such a viscous watch dog!

Hercules climbs into laundry baskets too, but only right after I get the clothes out of the dryer and it's warm. I don't mind him laying in my purse, but I don't care for him being in the baby's diaper bag because he chews on the droppers for her medicine and I don't want him to accidently swallow some of it. I went out and bought the cave bed at PetSmart just now and got a trash can with a pedal lid so he can't get into it if someone leaves the bathroom door open. I'm going to introduce him to his new bed now. Wish me luck!!

| Lucky Little Hercules truly is loved!!! That is true Yorkie love when we run out to the pet store to satisfy our baby's latest want or need. Made that trip a few times myself. Hope he loves his new bed. |

| Elvis: Under my bed in the middle when he doesn't ant to be "taken" stinker can't be reached there. Only for bath time though! He used to hide under blankets until Dad almost killed him (not really) by sitting on him! Death by Dad's big bottom...but seriously he could have been injured...scared poor Roo-Dog more than us I think. He no longer crawls under blankets... Honestly he never leaves me really...well he does sometimes get shut in a room, on accident but he's "found" within a minute at most. Princess: In her box! Once I thought she magically escaped the back yard! I leave the door open if it's warm...the boys went out for before bed potty as it was just dark out, I assumed she had too so I called her, squeaked the squeaker, ran around with a flash light, ran through the house, went into the cul-de-sac, called my Dad to come over and help look for her was freaking out...she was laying in her box...ignoring me...I check there first from now on... She also quite often hides in the shower attacking the dripping faucet if the curtain is closed or doing whatever it is she does in a tub with nothing LOL Scoobers: Hardly ever hides plus he's 21 lbs...but wow is he tiny when curled up...he will often escape into my son's room with him to play; or him and the lil boy go on missions in the yard...if one is MIA the other is with him...up to no good no doubt!

| Success!!! Just as a test I left the bathroom door open an I put Hercules' new bed in a remote corner of the living room. I put his favorite blanket and his favorite toy in there and I left him alone and let him find his new man cave on his own. He seems to like it so far. He hasn't gone into the bathroom unless he's following me and didn't even seem to notice that I changed the trash can. I bought the medium dog sized one, mainly because I'm not sure how big he's gonna get yet. The vet says he's going to at least double his weight now, but that will make him less than 5 lbs. So I suppose he will have lots of room. My sons want to "pimp" the inside with a water bottle and toy box and my daughter wants to paint the outside with designs. She's also taken over his old house and it now belongs to a stuffed animal like it was intended. So, everything turned out good! Hercules is exceptionally happy this morning, playing tug of war with whoever has time to play in-between showers and getting ready for school. And is now chewing on his frog Sir Hopsalot inside his new bed!! Thanks for the advice! It really worked.

We all love him dearly and do everything we can to make him happy. But I think we are the lucky ones to have been able to find him and complete our family!! He's great and I wouldn't trade him for anything.

| Troy likes to be under the bed. If not there I can find him under a 5 foot teddy bear my daughter has in her room.
