| Doesn't like puppies? Lola is so good with her bullie sister and my moms dogs as well. But I brought her over to my friends house to play with her 6 month old Chihuahua puppy. I actually picked this puppy up for my friend a few hours away from my house when I was at my mother in laws house and the puppy stayed with us for the weekend in December until we came home. At that time Lola had no issue with the puppy. This time the visit was different. She was growling and being very rude to the puppy every time Lucy came near her. She also acted like this around another 8 week old shepard pup another one of my friends had. Does Lola just not like puppies? What can I do to improve their relationship? These are two of my close friends and I like to bring dogs with me when I go to visit, or the other way around. Last edited by yorkie_mama22; 03-21-2011 at 05:48 AM. |

YT 2000 Club Member | Our son always brings our grand dog when he comes to visit and our girls love him. This weekend he came for dinner and brought his new pup with him. Well, our toy poodle loved him. However, Jasmine, our little 2 year old Yorkie was scared to death of him. This is the first thing I have ever seen her afraid of. He will continue to bring the new pup over so we can socialize them together, of course with supervision.

YT 2000 Club Member | Just to add this was the first time that Jasmine had ever been around a pup before since she left the litter. Since puppies behave so differently then adult dogs do (socially), I think that is what scared Jasmine because the pup was so up in her face with no boundaries that she just didn't know what to do.

| Lola is almost 2 and a half years old. I think she just doesn't like the whole puppy in her face. She never had a problem like this before with adult dogs. |

| Maybe Lola is just grieving and not herself. Didn't you just lose a puppy?

| I agree... Maybe you should give her some time to get over the loss of her brother

I would think that would be the issue but this one incident was about 3 and a half weeks ago before and she reacted the same way. It isn't like I am taking her out to meet a bunch of dogs all at once. I go visit every few weeks with friends and I am asking this because again she had a reaction like this. Yesterday taking at walk at the park we met with another yorkie that was older and Lola had no problem being friendly and nice towards this dog. So maybe she just doesn't tolerate puppies I will assume. PS. Lola is a very active dog and she rarely likes to sit around and do nothing, she loves going out for car rides, walks and anywhere else so for me to keep her home would really not benefit her. She is more sad at home when she is bored. Just trying to get some feedback on how to get her to play nice around the puppies. Thanks | |

| I would like to know why you posted on FB last night a completely different story about Stormy's death? It's not there anymore. You keep changing your story. |

What about the other puppy that died under mysterious circumstances. Oops looks like she won't be able to answer that question.
