| Wild Rice Yorkies, MI Hi, Has anyone ever purchased a yorkie from Wild Rice Yorkies located in Michigan? Am interested in possibly purchasing a puppy from her, the owner is not listed in the USDA possible puppy mill list and she seems nice. Just wanted to know if anyone here has any personal experience. Thanks. |

| I would run the other way. That looks like a puppy mill to me. Gallery See how many breeds there are? Good luck in your search, but I'd really run, not walk, from that one.

| Why would you even contemplate buying a pup from here when you have some great breeders in MI and surrounding areas. Check out YTCA.org breeder referral page.

Why? Perhaps because I am not from Chicago or the Midwest area, am loath to ship a puppy in from puppyfind.com, and am not interested in buying a puppy from a petstore. That's why. Thanks for the YTCA link, however none of those breeders on the referred page have any websites for IL. I could email all of those breeders on the list asking for available puppy information, but I don't have the time. | |

| 1. Many people here do NOT like large or multi-breed kennels... 2. I am not one of them... 3. but I'd run and quickly from this "kennel" I have studied designer breeders for several years what these people call designer breeds are just mixed dogs. Their site lacks much you'd expect from a kennel or breeder with a site from the get go...yes there's an about us page but no photos of the facility in depth no meet the crew, owners staff etc, no certifications listed, no parents like meet the breeding crew, no listings of the measures they take with their breeding stock and nothing showing these people do anything but breed some dogs and sell puppies. 4.Looks way too pup mill to me and way to many red flags what I listed here is superficial I could go on if I spent more than 5 minutes on it...go to a kennel that has a web site as a secondary part of their breeding show off and pup placement not a site to sell pups as their foremost means. 5. Google them and see what comes up...you might see some more red flag reasons...

So glad someone else already went there, I missed their post you responded to. I'm floored! No time to send out emails? Then how much time on researching issues, training, health, grooming, etc? Huh, not to mention the time it takes to actually do all that!?

It's great you do not want to buy from a petstore, but purchasing from a puppy mill, broker, BYB, etc.. is just as bad. "Buy your breeder first!"
