| If you don't want your dog... I was walking Buster & Maggie yesterday evening when I saw a small, furry dog almost get hit by a car, twice! I found out where she lived but her family wasn't home. One of the neighbors brought me a leash and told me this dog is allowed to run free all of the time. It took forever to get close enough to get the leash on the dog, she then slipped out of her collar. I called my husband and he brought me a crate, it took some time (and a lot of treats) to get her in the crate. I left the owners a note with my phone number but I don't expect to hear from them. There is another small, male dog in the back yard that was offered up to the neighbors when the family moved in. If you don't want your dogs, surrender them, do anything but DON'T let them run free.

| That's sad. I agree with you. If someone does no have room for a pup in their life, they will be doing the dog a favor by re- homing him/her.

| Things like this just burn my rear!! So often you see dogs not taken care of properly. What really bothers me is seeing a dog in a kennel outside all the time. Never any attention, never let inside. It is so heart breaking. The poor animals. I suppose they are cute when they are babies and then they get the boot. These people will say they care their dogs but do nothing with them. There should be laws!! |
